Committee Questions, Comments, Concerns

  • Is the house next door a part of the demolition as well?
  • Will there be foundation issues witht he existing house if the building comes down?
  • Does the county landbank also own the parcels to the east?
  • How long has the landbank owned the structure? JM: 6 months
  • Is there money in the budget to provide some kind of evergreen screening for the home that will remain?  The remaining home may not want to be exposed at that corner.
  • Is the County looking at any mothballing programs now or in the future?  JM: No, there isn't a standing program.

Councilman Polensek is available for comment.  He provided context on the previous efforts to market the property, poor conditions, and no interest in renovation.
